Hugh Jackman can then later be seen waving other swimmers to get out of the water.

Liev Shreiber Could Be Back For Wolverine 3

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:24539:]]

About seven months ago saw Hugh Jackman take to his social networks to ask fans what they wanted from his final Wolverine movie.

One wish might be granted as the next Wolverine movie is said to be rated-R.

A second wish might be granted as it looks to be about the “Old Man Logan” Wolverine Marvel Comics storyline.

Another request by the fans was to see one more battle between Wolverine and Sabretooth, which could possibly be granted as well.

Liev Shreiber, who played the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, was asked about returning as Sabretooth by MTV while at the Oscars.

“We talked about it,” Schreiber told MTV. “I don’t know. He’s mentioned it to me. The Old Man Logan story — that’s appealing. That’s something that I can do. Old, being the operative word.”

A few months ago also saw Shreiber and Hugh Jackman teasing Wolverine vs. Sabretooth on Twitter when Jackman tweeted out an image of himself exercising with, “Let’s do this! Who’s with me? Wolfpack vs Dogpound,” in which Shreiber jokingly replied back, “Do I have to do that…”

Liev Shreiber also appeared on Jimmy Fallon a while back where he seemingly offered he would be up for returning: “…you know there’s Old Man Logan, there could be Old Man Sabretooth…”

Another request by the fans for Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine movie is to see the beserker rage and yellow costume.

Watch Liev Shreiber talking Sabretooth and Wolverine at the Oscars in the video below.

The untitled Wolverine movie has a Marh 3, 2017 release directed by James Mangold, with Patrick Stewart rumored to be returning as Professor Xavier.

Wolverine 3 Said To Be Confirmed Rated-R

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:24380:]]

A few days ago saw a promotional image surface out of Toy Fair stating Fox Studios is anticipating an R-rating for the next Wolverine movie, which will be Hugh Jackman’s last movie as the adamantium-wielding mutant.

Now Den Of Geek is stating that R-rating for Wolverine is confirmed, in addition to stating the movie will be about “Old Man Logan,” which was previously teased at Comic-Con.

While Fox has yet to officially confirm the R-rating, the report states Fox has been targeting an R-rating for Wolverine even prior to Deadpool. It’s said director James Mangold has been planning for years to make a more violent sendoff for Jackman and his version of Wolverine.

The Marvel Comics “Old Man Logan” storyline written by Mark Millar (Civil War, Kick-Ass, Kingsman) features Wolverine in a post-apocalyptic alternate universe and future where the supervillains have taken over the United States. Here is the description for the graphic novel on Amazon:

MARK MILLAR and STEVE MCNIVEN–who last teamed for the monumental CIVIL WAR–bring us the most important WOLVERINE story of the 21st century. Nobody knows what happened on the night the heroes fell. All we know is that they disappeared and evil triumphed and the bad guys have been calling the shots ever since. What happened to Wolverine is the biggest mystery of all. For 50 years, no one has heard hide nor hair from him…and in his place stands anold man called Logan. A man concerned only about his family. A man pushed to the brink by the HULK GANG. A man forced tohelp an old friend–the blind archer, HAWKEYE–drive three thousand miles to secure his family’s safety. Get ready for the ride of your life, Logan.

Obviously Fox would adapt “Old Man Logan” a bit differently as they don’t have the rights to the Hulk and Hawkeye, but more than likely other Fox-owned characters would fit. Patrick Stewart is said to be returning as Professor X for the film as well.

Jackman also previously stated fans wanted to see Wolverine in the yellow suit, the berserker rage, and another battle versus Sabretooth.

The untitled Wolverine movie has a March 3, 2017 release.

Hugh Jackman Recommends Taron Egerton As New Wolverine

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:24032:]]

While promoting his latest movie, Eddie the Eagle, Hugh Jackman also talks about playing Wolverine and the Ryan Reynolds Deadpool movie.

“Love it. It’s just brilliant. I mean, I love Ryan, he’s a good mate of mine. He’s so fantastic,” Jackman told Yahoo with mention Wolverine could “a hundred percent” take down Deadpool in a fight.

Jackman is asked about potentially playing Wolverine in a sequel to Deadpool (it’s suspected Jackman makes a cameo in the first one), with Jackman stating that other actors will be up to play the new Wolverine and points to his Eddie the Eagle co-star Taron Egerton as a possibility.

“I’ve never thought about it till now, but doing something with Ryan – he’s awesome – that’s always attractive to me. But I think you’ve probably got several other people lined up to play [Wolverine]… probably you [Taron Egerton],” Jackman said.

Egerton, who also stars in The Kingsman: Secret Service, jokingly replied back: “I don’t think I’ve quite got the facial hair for it.”

Hugh Jackman also let it be known the script for his last Wolverine movie is just about done and previously mentioned Tom Hardy as another potential Wolverine.

Fans have also thrown Harry Potter‘s Daniel Radcliffe into the mix.

Hugh Jackman Offers Update On Wolverine 3 Script (Video)

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21498:]]

Hugh Jackman offers an update on the untitled 2017 Wolverine movie in the following video. Worth a mention is that Jackman again states it’s his last Wolverine movie. Following Hugh Jackman seemingly teasing a “Wolverine 4” on social networks, many fans thought Hugh Jackman might not be done just yet, but that now doesn’t seem to be the cast.

Hugh Jackman is also thought to be appearing in next month’s Deadpool movie and maybe even the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie.

Here’s the blurb:

HUGH JACKMAN: We have a script. A full script. To tell you, two days ago I got that the full finished—well, it’s not finished, but we’re getting super close—as you can see by the rate of my facial hair. That might give you a good clue that perhaps…yeah, it’s sooner rather than later.

TARON EGERTON: Also, the pecs are expanding as well.

JACKMAN: I have had six meals today already.

JACKMAN: I don’t have a firm date yet. My thing, and I’ve told you and I’ve told everyone, it’s my last one, for me I want it to be perfect, so the moment I know it’s perfect, bang, we’ll go.

Sounds Like Hugh Jackman Wolverine Cameo For X-Men: Apocalypse

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23948:]]

In addition to a heavily speculated appearance in next month’s Deadpool movie, it’s again being said Hugh Jackman may also appear in X-Men: Apocalypse as Wolverine.

About three months ago saw word hit that Hugh Jackman is participating in reshoots for X-Men: Apocalypse.

Now set visit reports have hit the net, and while none of them confirm the appearance of Hugh Jackman in X-Men: Apocalypse, they neither discount the rumor.

The Collider reports:

No one would confirm or deny whether Hugh Jackman has a cameo in the film as Wolverine—out of everything, this was the tightest secret kept on set.

Obviously it seems if it’s a “tight kept secret,” it more than likley confirms the involvement of Jackman in some capacity.

Hugh Jackman is supposed to be retiring from the Wolverine role re-teaming with James Mangold for a 2017 untitled Wolverine film (featuring possibly Old Man Logan, bersker rage and Sabretooth); however, the actor recently took to his social networks to tease a “Wolverine 4.”

“X-Men: Apocalypse” has a May 27, 2016 release directed by Bryan Singer starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, Josh Helman, Lana Condor & Ben Hardy.

Synopsis:

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

How About Daniel Radcliffe As Wolverine?

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23849:]]

With Hugh Jackman retiring from the Wolverine role (or not), who should be the next actor to play the role?

I’ve previously recommended Tom Hardy (as has Hugh Jackman), but now fans on Reddit have brought up another name — Harry Potter‘s Daniel Radcliffe.

Before you snub your nose at the thought, bear in mind Radcliffe is arguably closer to the comic book version of Wolverine than Hugh Jackman, as Radcliffe is a lot shorter in real life (and just as hairy).

As some of the fans pointed out, pack some muscle on Daniel Radcliffe, and we might have our next Wolverine.

Regarding Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Hugh Jackman is thought to be appearing in Deadpool, possibly participated in reshoots for X-Men: Apocalypse and will star in the sequel to The Wolverine in 2017. Jackman may have also teased Wolverine 4.

Chris Evans Wants Captain America To Interact With Wolverine

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23739:]]

Back last Summer saw a rumor hit that an Avengers and X-Men movie is being planned for 2020.

While the validity of the rumor must be questioned due to the properties being owned by different studios, we now hear from Chris Evans who mentions Wolverine.

At this weekend’s Wizard World New Orleans comic-con, the members of the Captain America: Civil War panel were asked, with all the new characters coming up, who would they like to interact with from the Marvel Universe?

Chris Evans responded with Wolverine.

“I would say Wolverine. I don’t know if that would ever happen, but in the Marvel world, wouldn’t that be fun?” Evans said. “Wouldn’t that be a great little blend, a crossover. Because we don’t have enough crossovers, but still. That would be great.”

Evans also previously offered earlier in the panel that he would like another Fox-owned character by his side — The Human Torch.

The other panelists responded to the question as well:

Mackie: I would say She-Thor. Nothing weird. Nothing weird.

Atwell: Black Widow, for me. For sure.

Grillo: Spider-Man. I love Spider-Man.

Joe Russo: You haven’t interacted with Spider-Man?

Grillo: I have interacted with Spider-Man, but it’s none of your business. [laughter]

Renner: Oh, Mockingbird. That’s pretty good.

Captain America: Civil War” has  a May 6, 2016 release date directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp, William Hurt, Martin Freeman and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Synopsis:

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Hugh Jackman Dances with the Fire Dragon in Hong Kong While Promoting Pan

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22286:]]

Hugh Jackman recently visited Hong Kong during their Mid-Autumn Festival to promote his latest film, Pan. During his stay, Jackman visited one of the oldest neighbourhoods, Tai Hang, and experienced the most authentic cultural heritage with around 100 years of history – Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance. Being the first international star participating in this festivity, Jackman was honored with a leading role of the parade by holding the Fire Dragon pearl.

Check out images and video below from the event.

“Pan” has an October 9, 2015 release directed by Joe Wright also starring Levi Miller, Rooney Mara, Garrett Hedlund, Amanda Seyfried, Adeel Akhtar, Taejoo Na, Nonso Anozie, Kathy Burke, Kurt Egyiawan, Lewis MacDougall and Jack Charles.

About Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance
In the 19th century, the people of Tai Hang began performing a dragon dance to stop a run of bad luck afflicting their village. More than a century later, their village has been developed into a part of the cosmopolitan. But the dragon keeps on dancing. It has even danced its way onto China’s third national list of intangible cultural heritage.

All this started a few days before the Mid-Autumn Festival, sometime around 100 years ago. First a typhoon slammed into the fishing and farming community of Tai Hang. This was followed by a plague, and then when a python ate the villagers’ livestock, they said enough was enough. A soothsayer decreed the only way to stop the chaos was to stage a fire dance for three days and nights during the upcoming festival. The villagers made a huge dragon from straw and covered it with incense sticks, which they then lit. Accompanied by drummers and erupting firecrackers, they did what they were told and danced for three days and three nights – and the plague disappeared.

About Mid Autumn Festival
As the round shape symbolizes unity in the Chinese culture, the full moon stirs these ancient sentiments, which are embodied in the way the Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated since the early Tang dynasty (618 – 907). In the past, on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month every year, families would get together to make offerings of osmanthus-flavoured wine, spherical fruits such as pears, grapes, pomegranates and of course mooncakes to the heavens, to express gratitude for a bumper harvest as well as enjoy a reunion with relatives who live far away. To many, this is considered to be one of the most important festivals of the year. Highly-urbanised Hong Kong still celebrates this holiday, and does so in style and with its characteristic penchant for fusing tradition with innovation.

Hugh Jackman Holding Out Until Last Wolverine Is Done Right (Video)

Earlier saw Hugh Jackman recommend Tom Hardy as the next Wolverine, and now in the above video Jackman talks about his last time as the adamantium clawed bersker.

First Hugh Jackman comments on Patrick Stewart reprising as Professor Xavier offering he wants to see something from Professor X that hasn’t been done before with mention of a father/son relationship with Logan. Jackman also mentions the script isn’t complete, but the treatment is, which he is “90% happy” with.

Here is the Patrick Stewart blurb:

“I’ll be really honest with you, the actual script in its full form we’re up to about page 60. Obviously there’s a treatment, so it’s not fully done yet. We’re not fully there. Patrick does figure in it, that’s for sure. I think it’s a really important relationship, but I want to see signs of that quasi-father/son sort of relationship that has not been seen before, and sides of particularly Professor X that have not been seen before. So we have some really, really cool ideas.”

As Jackman mentioned the script isn’t complete, he says he isn’t committing to the movie unless he is sure everything is going to be done right. Jackman does mention he is currently in training and dieting for the role, and if everything goes right, they should start shooting next year.

“…this is the last time I am playing him. I’ve just made the commitment to myself really, and told everyone until that script is perfect, until it is that perfect way to sign out, I’m not going to start shooting…

“I’m trying to do something with this that is a little special, a little different. I’ve got a very, very strong idea of what that is. I really have known for quite a long time how I want to finish this, sort of odyssey that I’ve been on, this amazing journey, and I won’t let it fall anywhere in between. I won’t fall short of it.”

The untitled Wolverine sequel has a planned 2017 release with James Mangold returning to direct.

Hugh Jackman Wants Tom Hardy To Star In Wolverine Reboot

I’ve still got one more to do. I’m sure they’re already talking about it. There’s some actor out there that’s already said “Shhh. Keep it quiet, but we want you next.” He’s younger than me for sure. I think Tom Hardy would be a great…

As noted, Hugh Jackman will be back one more time as Wolverine in the untitled 2017 movie which also sees director James Mangold return.

New York City hosts the gala U.S. premiere on Sunday, October 4, ahead of the film’s October 9 nationwide debut.  Cast and filmmakers including Jackman, Miller, Mara, Hedlund and Wright will be joined by a host of other celebrities at the legendary Ziegfeld Theater.

As Neverland sweeps the globe, a dazzling selection of the film’s costumes will simultaneously be debuting in exhibits throughout Asia, Europe, Latin America and the U.S.  Costume designer Jacqueline Durran’s creations for Jackman’s Blackbeard, Miller’s Peter, Hedlund’s Hook and Mara’s Tiger Lily will be showcased at or around the events in Hong Kong, at Times Square Mall; London; New York City; Madrid; and Mexico City.  Added stops include Prague, Dubai, Athens and more, with exact locations and dates to be announced.
