Dominic Purcell is leaving The CW’s DC’s Legends of Tomorrow after appearing on all five seasons and let his thoughts be known about it on social media where he didn’t hold back. Purcell, who played Mick Rory, aka Heat Wave on the series, has since deleted the Instagram post, but screenshots have made their way
Fan-favorite actor Dominic Purcell, who plays Heatwave on DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, was seriously hurt in an accident on the set of filming for Prison Break.
Purcell suffered a broken nose and head injury when a set piece fell on the actor’s head. The good news is that Purcell is expected to make a full recovery.
“Our friend and colleague Dominic Purcell was injured earlier this week during the filming of our event series Prison Break, and was flown to a medical facility where he received treatment,” a 20th TV spokesman said in a statement to Deadline. “We are happy to report that he is in great spirits and is expected to make a full recovery. He wanted us to express his appreciation to the fans around the world who have expressed their concern and support, and to reassure them that he will be back at work very soon.”

Pays to have a thick skull when an iron bar falls on your #head!! busting it open severely also broke my nose in two places. Haha. I got a free nose job out of it…… Stoked to be alive. The Flash “Rogue Time” Trailer
The next episode of The Flash, “Rogue Time,” sees the return of Heat Wave and Captain Cold.

Both Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller have also been confirmed for the new superhero team spinoff from Arrow and The Flash as well.
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8pm ET.

Dominic Purcell is the latest to join the new CW superhero team spinoff of Arrow and The Flash.
Deadline reports Purcell will be reprising as Heat Wave from The Flash series.
Wentworth Miller was also previously confirmed, so the Captain Cold/Heat Weave duo remains intact for the spinoff.
Purcell also joins Brandon Routh, Victor Garber and Caity Lotz.
Yesterday also saw the news that the superhero team spinoff will not feature Robbie Amell, the other half of Firestorm, though the reason was unclear.
Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim are behind the new series with the spinoff likely to be released next mid-season.
