Colton Haynes Teases Nightwing

Colton Haynes for Nightwing? Technically it could happen as Colton Haynes playing Arsenal in Arrow is not a part of the DC cinematic universe, and the Nightwing movie could always be a standalone movie not connected to anything (similar to the Joaquin Phoenix Joker flick). Colton Haynes took to Twitter to simply tweet out “#Nightwing” along

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23094:]]

With a young Han Solo Star Wars movie in development, it’s become known that just about every actor in Hollywood that fits the bill is vying for the part.

According to THR, 2500 actors are seeking the role of the young Han Solo in the Star Wars Anthology movie from Christopher Miller and Phil Lord.

Names mentioned include: Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ansel Elgort, Dave Franco, Tom Felton, Leo Howard, Logan Lerman, Jack Reynor, Max Thieriot, Miles Teller, Rami Malek, Colton Hayne, Landon Liboiron, Ed Westwick, Joshua Sasse, among many others, including Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul said to be rumored for the role.

According to the report, the Han Solo movie is set to begin filming January 2017, so the filmmakers have a lot of time to consider the actor to play the part, with it noted they are auditioning everyone.

The description for the role is said to: “at least a bit like a young Ford and can be funny and charming as well as handle the expected action scenes. A few young comedians have been asked to read.”

The Han Solo screenplay is written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan. The story focuses on how young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley.

The Han Solo movie has a May 25, 2018 release date.

Colton Haynes Returning To Arrow

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23020:]]

Following have left Arrow last season, it’s now confirmed that Colton Haynes will be back as Roy Harper.

Haynes tweeted the news himself earlier today with: “Just landed in Vancouver to…BEGIN FILMING ON #ARROW AGAIN!!! So excited!!!”

Haynes left Arrow last year when his character Arsenal took the fall for being the Arrow and faked his own death in prison.  Roy was then seen leaving town and left Thea his red suit.

“We are beyond thrilled that Colton will be returning to Arrow this season,” EP Marc Guggenheim told EW.com. “It was always our intention to have him return following his departure last season, but it was a matter of finding the right story line to pull it off. That opportunity presented itself in episode 412 and we can’t wait for the fans to see this reunion.”

No specific details are known in regards to how Roy will return or be used.

The title for the Arrow episode that sees Haynes return is “Unchained.”

Spoiler Actor & Character Leaves Arrow

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20078:]]

If you recall, last month saw the cast of Arrow tease what many thought to be the death of a major character.

Stephen Amell tweeted that “sometimes real feelings creep into a scene” and “good-byes are tough. Even when they’re scripted.”

Now it’s become known exactly what Amell was talking about.

Spoilers follow for the latest episode of Arrow.

Tonight on Arrow saw Arrow’s sidekick Roy Harper, aka Arsenal, leave Starling City at the end of the episode. Roy had pretended to be Arrow last week, and then this week saw Roy stage his own death in prison, escape, and decided to leave Team Arrow as he drove off in his car.

The departure was brought on as a result of Colton Haynes’ contract ending on Arrow.

Deadline does note Haynes will still be appearing in another episode of Arrow this year and that talks are underway for the actor to appear on episodes of The Flash or the new Arrow/Flash spinoff.

Arrow EP Greg Berlanti told Deadline that they always knew Colton Haynes would be on for just two seasons.

“When we made the deal. We made a two-season deal that had a clock on it, we always knew that,” Berlanti said. “When he was coming off Teen Wolf, we described the role to him, and we agreed to do it for a couple of years.”

Both Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim did state they left it open for Haynes to return, and that is why they didn’t kill the character off.

“We wanted to do something different,” Berlanti continued. “These characters are so young, they represent the next generation of superheroes, and we love the idea of having them just out there. And as a person we like Colton so much, we all would love to see him back. Such a talented, great guy.”

“The hope is that he’ll continue to be part of the universe we are building,” Guggenheim added. “We love working with his so much. We’ve talked to him about returning to one of the three shows, and if available, he has expressed interest. He is gone but definitely not forever.”

Stephen Amell & Colton Haynes Tease Major Death In Arrow

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19472:]]

Things don’t look good for one presently unknown cast member on Arrow as Stephen Amell and Colton Haynes have teased what looks to be the death of possibly a major character.

“Sometimes real feelings creep into a scene,” Amell tweeted earlier. “Goodbyes are tough. Even when they’re scripted.”

Amell continued on Facebook: “Putting the finishing touches on our 65th episode tonight. It features one of the most emotional, touching and heartfelt scenes we’ve ever produced. Everyone was equal to the task. Long day, but a good one.”

Colton Haynes, who plays Roy Harper, also tweeted similar sentiments: “What a rough night. Probably the most difficult day I’ve had at work in my life. So many emotions all around that couldn’t be controlled.”

Episode 19 is presently being filmed for this season, which aptly enough is titled “Broken Arrow.”

Previous seasons saw characters killed off including Tommy Merlyn, Moira Queen, Canary (though it appears Caity Lotz is coming back somehow), Isabel Rochev and Sebastian Blood.

Any ideas who could be on the chopping block for Season 3?

“Arrow” airs Wednesdays on the CW.
