Good news for fans of Arrow as fan-favorite actor Colton Haynes returns to the series!
“We’re thrilled to announce that Colton Haynes will be reprising his role as Roy Harper for a short arc on Arrow this year,” executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle said in a statement. “Roy is called back to Star City to help resolve an urgent matter with high stakes for the team. His short visit turns into something surprising when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both of their lives that will have long-lasting consequences…”
Colton Haynes and Roy Harper were last seen briefly in Arrow Season 4 as the character departed the series at the end of Season 3.
Stephen Amell also took to Instagram to offer his excitement.
“Boy oh boy do I love [Colton Haynes],” Amell posted with the following video.

Arrow is currently on its winter hiatus and returns with new episodes on Thursday nights at 9pm EST starring on January 18th.
