Watch: Dylan O’Brien Comment About Spider-Man

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19723:]]

Dylan O’Brien happens to be a big favorite to play Spider-Man for the new Sony Marvel venture.

The actor, known for Maze Runner and Teen Wolf, previously stated he hadn’t heard about Spider-Man professionally, but was aware of the rumors.

Now while discussing Teen Wolf, O’Brien is asked about potentially playing Peter Parker again in the below video.

O’Brien is asked if he could play Spider-Man while working on Teen Wolf, with O’Brien implying it probably wouldn’t work out with filming.

“Funny enough, probably not,” O’Brien responded. “But who knows. I have not even heard about this job other than like in these little interviews.”

It’s then remarked it’s a funny way to find out about stuff, with O’Brien agreeing and sarcastically stating, “I guess I’m Spider-Man.”

Jump to the 45-second mark to check out the comments.

It’s speculated Spider-Man will first appear in Captain America: Civil War, which will be followed by a standalone Spider-Man in 2017.

Captain America 3 Filming Soon & Plot Released

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19721:]]

Thanks to various casting calls, Captain America: Civil War looks to start filming around April 1st at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

In addition, a short synopsis has been released revealing the events from The Avengers: Age Of Ultron directly impact Captain America 3 as well.

Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.

Captain America: Civil War has a May 6, 2016 release directed by Joe and Anthony Russo starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Frank Grill as Crossboness, Daniel Bruhl as Baron von Zemo, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and it’s speculated the new Spider-Man will debut.

Spoiler Death In All-New Captain America

Spoilers follow for the latest issue of All-New Captain America.

Since Falcon doesn’t have a sidekick in the Marvel Studios movies, why bother with one in the comics, right?

Well in today’s All-New Captain America #5 that is now a reality.

Bleeding Cool posted scans from the issue revealing the demise of Redwing, who was Falcon’s partner since 1969.

RIP.

New Spider-Man Said To Be As Young As 15-Years-Old

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19564:]]

Whether it’s Peter Parker, Miles Morales or a brand new version, it’s being said Sony and Marvel are looking for teenage actors to play the role of a 15-year-old Spider-Man.

Speculation surfaced earlier today when 21-year-old English actor Sam Strike tweeted he began training for a big U.S. movie, which many online thought for Spider-Man.

However, Latino Review is stating it’s probably for Fox’s Deadpool or X-Men: Apocalypse as, according to casting sources, Sony and Marvel are presently auditioning teenage actors for the role of a 15-year-old Spider-Man.

It’s previously been said the new Spider-Man would be in high school as well.

The question (at least on my mind) is if they do go with such a young Spider-Man, how are they going to get around a 15-year-old going into battle alongside the Avengers? I guess it’s possible the Avengers may not know Spidey is that young if he’s masked, but that lasting for three years until the new Spidey is an adult seems rather farfetched. I guess it’s also possible the new Spider-Man may not actually be fighting in Cap 3 (he was actually only in a few pages in the comic).

It’s unknown when the big Spider-Man announcement will now be coming as earlier saw Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn state Marvel will be not at this Summer’s Comic-Con

Captain America: Civil War is slated to begin filming this Spring. If the new Spider-Man/Peter Parker has more than a cameo, more than likely Marvel would have to announce the actor sooner rather than later.

Captain America: Civil War has a May 6, 2016 release; the new Spider-Man movie hits in 2017.

Chris Evans & Chris Pratt Visit Seattle Children’s Hospital

Chris Evans and Chris Pratt had a Super Bowl bet where the loser would have to visit the winner’s city dressed as their respective superhero.

Pratt made good on the bet earlier last month in Boston, and though Evans came out on top, Captain America went to visit kids at Seattle’s Children’s Hospital as well.

The Seattle Children’s Hospital Facebook released the following photos.

A superhero size THANK YOU to Chris Pratt and Chris Evans for spending time with our patients today. The kids were beyond excited to meet Captain America and Star-Lord. And thanks to Marvel and Disney for helping make this day extra special!

Much like their superhero alter egos, Chris Pratt and Chris Evans saved the day in the eyes of the kids at the Seattle Children’s today.

Jeremy Renner Confirmed For Captain America: Civil War

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19545:]]

Captain America: Civil War is fast becoming the next Avengers movie.

The latest Assembler confirmed is Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.

Renner joins Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Frank Grill as Crossboness, Daniel Bruhl as Baron von Zemo, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, and presumably the new Spider-Man.

The only Avengers to date not confirmed are Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), in addition to Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) who was a part of Captain America 2.

The confirmations for Captain America: Civil War can sort of be considered spoilers as obviously the actors survive The Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Obviously with Thor and Hulk not listed, we can speculate that Thor might “die,” and it’s also been rumored that Hulk gets jettisoned to space (or maybe he goes missing or thought dead).

No plot has been released for Captain America: Civil War, but it’s a spin on the comic book storyline that sees hero vs. hero battle over superhero registration.

The Avengers: Age Of Ultron hits May 1, 2015 followed by Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016.

THR first reported the news of Jeremy Renner joining Cap 3.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19480:]]Anthony & Joe Russo At Captain America: Winter Soldier Premiere

Joe and Anthony Russo are developing The Gray Man at Sony, and now it’s learned the duo behind the likes of Captain America: Winter Soldier have signed a first-look three-year deal with Sony, which is set to kick off this April.

“Joe and Anthony Russo are terrifically exciting filmmakers with a sensibility that matches the tastes of audiences worldwide,” Sony producer Doug Belgrad said in a statement.

“Joe and Anthony Russo have demonstrated their ability to bring excitement, audacity and phenomenal commercial success to a variety of genres and endeavors,” added Michael DeLuca and Hannah Minghella, “and we are proud to add them to the family. Their original voices and fearless execution are a tremendous addition to our studio.”

“We’re thrilled to make a home at Sony Pictures, and to be partnering with the entire team,” Joe and Anthony Russo said in a joint statement. “The studio has created an environment that is not only collaborative, but truly filmmaker-friendly and we’re excited to begin developing both new and ambitious material with them.”

The Russo brothers are directing Captain America: Civil War for Disney/Marvel and The Avengers Infinity War movies.

Previous leaked Sony e-mails also revealed interest in Spider-Man by the Russo brothers. Sony has yet to announce a director on the new Spider-Man (or a new actor), but the Russo’s seem a perfect fit.

Mark Millar Talks Civil War & Spider-Man Back At Marvel

Mark Millar recently attended the Glassgow Film Festival where he participated in a QnA with IGN about his Civil War Marvel comic book and Spider-Man returning to Marvel.

Millar offered the following about Spider-Man, and you can listen to more above where Millar compares writing the Civil War comic with juggling gasoline due to all the tie-ins, talks using the likeness of Samuel L. Jackson in the comic and more.

People kept saying to me ‘they can’t do [Captain America] Civil War‘ without Spider-Man,’ but in the actual book Spider-Man only appears in about six pages.

In the end what they’ve got is Spider-Man back, which is actually great as somebody who has been baffled by the last two Spider-Man films, the idea of Marvel getting it back does feel like ‘coming home’ a little bit. It’s not that they can do no wrong. Thor 2 wasn’t very good and Iron Man 2 wasn’t very good, so they have their misfires as well, but I think Spider-Man is like the holy grail for them. They are not going to mess this up. They are going to make it great. All eyes are on them, so they have to bring their A-game.

Mark Millar is known for Kick-Ass, Kingsman: The Secret Service, and his Starlight comic is coming to the big screen with Star Wars writer Gary Whitta on the screenplay.

Dan Slott Says A Black Peter Parker Spider-Man Is Possible

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19312:]]

With Spider-Man being shared by Sony and Marvel, there is question whether or not they will be using the classic version of Spidey (a white Peter Parker) or go with a version that would be black, latino, or both.

Rumors of a racially diverse Spider-Man kicked up when a reporter for the Hollywood trade site, the Wrap, stated he thinks that he’s 95% sure the new Spider-Man won’t be white.

Fans quickly reactied with mention that in the official announcement an exec for Sony mentioned they are using Peter Parker.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean a white Peter Parker.

A fan remarked the fact that Peter Parker is white to Marvel Comics writer Dan Slott, who recently stated he wouldn’t mind a Spider-man that is not white.

Dan’s response?

Dan replied back with an image of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. In the regular Marvel Comics universe, Nick Fury is white, but in the Ultimate Marvel Universe, Nick Fury is black (and in the movies).

Slott is obviously saying that anything is possible, and Peter Parker could end up black.

Slott also added along with the pic: “Story re-opened. Now sit your ass down.”

Slott continued tweeting defending the possibility of a non-white Spider-Man.

Here are some of Dan’s tweets:

Captain America 3 Is Not Iron Man 4 Says Robert Downey Jr.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19242:]]

Captain America: Civil War is set for May 2016 which will pit Captain America vs Iron Man and will introduce Black Panther and Spider-Man officially into the Marvel cinematic universe.

While speaking with Empire Online, Robert Downey Jr. offers details why he decided to be featured in the movie and also says it’s not Iron Man 4.

Ultimately it’s Steve’s story; it doesn’t say ‘Iron Man 4: Civil War’. I think that’s great too. I think Chris [Evans] has been hungry to bring even more of an underside and some shadow to that. I remember the comics – on the surface you got the sense that Cap was baseball and apple pie, but underneath there was all this churning stuff of being a man out of time. Now we know he’s made his peace with that. What’s the bigger issue? It can have a little something to do with the past, but it can be about someone becoming more modernized in their own conflict.

I’m crazy about Evans. I really am. I don’t know why or how to explain this particular kinship we have. By the way, he hasn’t called me in six months. Honestly, in order for this whole thing to have worked, I did my part, Hemsworth knocked it out of the stadium and then it fell on Cap. That was the riskiest. It was the one that had the highest degree of difficulty in making it translate to a modern audience. It was the Russos and Chris who, I think, really hit the line drive and won the series. I remember glancing through it going, “Wow, that’s a different way to go”. They said, “If we have you, we can do this or Cap 3 has to be something else”. It’s nice to feel needed.

And when they pitched it to me and when I had a couple of ideas and when they said we like those ideas, let’s do those. Then there’s all this competition too. I don’t do this because I look at it as a competition, but I look at the marketplace and go, ‘Maybe if these two franchises teamed up and I can take even a lesser position in support, with people I like and directors I respect, maybe we can keep things bumping along here a little longer than they might have’.

“Captain America: Civil War” has a May 6, 2016 release date directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo and Chadwick Boseman.

Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans can next be seen in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron out May 1, 2015.

Marvel recently announced the new Spider-Man will be a part of their movie universe before getting a new standalone movie.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is onboard the Spider-Man movie as producer along with former Sony co-chairman Amy Pascal.

It’s been reported Spider-Man will first appear in Captain America: Civil War, with it also said Marvel and Sony are seeking a new actor for Spider-Man who will have his roots set in high school.

Director Marc Webb is said to be out, and Amazing Spider-Man producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are said to have no creative influence or control.

Rumored to play Spider-Man is either Dylan O’Brien or Logan Lerman, with the possibility mentioned Sony could decide to use the Miles Morales Spider-Man as well.

As a result of the new Spider-Man movie, Marvel also bumped four of their release dates up for Thor 3, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Inhumans.

Sony and Marvel have given Spider-Man the Thor 3 release date of July 28, 2017; Captain America: Civil War gets released May 6, 2016.

Watch: Ben Affleck, Matt Damon & Chris Evans On Deflategate

The Super Bowl happens to be this Sunday, but hasn’t come without controversy as the AFC Championship game between the Colts and Patriots saw almost a dozen footballs discovered with less air than what’s mandated.

In what has become known as “Deflategate,” the accusation is that the Patriots used deflated balls to give themselves an advantage as a softer ball in colder weather makes it easier to throw, catch and hold.

The Patriots, Coach Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady have denied the allegations, and the NFL is still looking into the matter.

While we still don’t know what the cause of “Deflategate” is, Jimmy Kimmel is on top of things.

Various Hollywood stars take credit for “Deflategate” above including Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, John Krasinski, Chris Evans, Steven Tyler, Eli Roth, Dicky Barrett and Bill Simmons.

Personally, I think “Deflategate” is the reason the Patriots have continued to win the AFC East and beat the Bills.

Chris Evans also has a Super Bowl bet going with Chris Pratt.

Black Panther Chadwick Boseman Would Rather Have An Action Figure Than A Golden Globe

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:18930:]]

Chadwick Boseman has been passed over this year for a Golden Globe and an Oscar award for playing James Brown in Get on Up.

It’s really no big deal to Boseman as the actor says he would rather have an action figure than Oscar or Golden Globe gold.

“When it comes down to it, I’d rather have an action figure than a Golden Globe,” Boseman said, reports THR.

Of course, Boseman is referencing his Marvel deal with Black Panther, as Boseman is set to play Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War and is thought to make an appearance in this May’s The Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Independent.com also reports Chadwick Boseman has signed a five-picture deal with Marvel to portray Black Panther.

Robert Downey Jr. Explains Why Captain America 3 & Not Iron Man 4

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:18898:]]

The latest issue of Empire Magazine features Robert Downey Jr. discussing Captain America: Civil War, which follows The Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

It’s learned that if Robert Downey Jr. didn’t do Captain America 3, but maybe an Iron Man 4 instead, “Civil War” would have never happened.

They said to me, ‘If we have you, we can do this, or Cap 3 has to be something else.’ It’s nice to feel needed. And at this point it’s about helping each other, too. I look at it as a competition and I go, ‘Wow, maybe if these two franchises teamed up and I can take even a lesser position, with people I like and directors I respect, maybe we can keep things bumping along.’

Robert Downey Jr. also teases the seed for Civil War is planted in The Avengers 2.

It’s natural to change your views…The main thing to me is, what sort of incident could occur, and what sort of framework could we find Tony in? The clues about where we might find him next are in Ultron. But what would it take for Tony to completely turn around everything he’s stood for? Joss brings this up all the time. It’s kind of weird that these guys would have all these throw downs all over planet Earth and yet when the movie’s over, nobody minds. What would the American government do if this were real? Wouldn’t it be interesting to see Tony doing something you wouldn’t imagine?

In the Marvel Comics Civil War storyline, Iron Man was looked at as more the villain than Captain America; however, Robert Downey Jr. offers and interesting tidbit in that it could be Steve Rogers who is the one more to change his ways than Tony Stark.

The biggest question is, for Chris and for Cap, how do we bring Cap to a place where people go, ‘Man, I never thought I would see such a vast change in Steve.’ After you see Snowpiercer, you’re like, ‘I want to see a little bit of that guy.’

“Captain America: Civil War” has a May 6, 2016 release directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Robert Downey Jr. Teases Captain America: Civil War

Robert Downey Jr. has taken to his Facebook page to tease Captain America: Civil War.

The actor posted the following image which features the Marvel heroes fighting each other.*

“Me vs Hawkeye hardly seems fair,” Robert Downey Jr. added.

Captain America: Civil War follows the Marvel Comics comic book storyline that sees hero vs. hero with Captain America and Iron Man on opposite sides. While in the comics, the government required heroes to register their secret identities, it’s thought the movie will be somewhat different as there are really no heroes with secret identities in the Marvel movie universe. Perhaps the government will just require people with superpowers to register themselves, which pits Cap and Iron Man on separate sides.

Captain America: Civil War has a May 6, 2016 release starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Now the latest with Anthony Mackie is that the actor wants a new costume for Falcon and also wants to appear in every Marvel movie.

So I’m hoping that I get a new and improved costume. That’s my whole thing. I’ve just been saying it, hoping that they’ll read it and say, ‘All right, we have to give Anthony a new costume.’”

Mackie continues with mention he hopes to appear in The Avengers 2 and jokes about every other Marvel movie.

“I hope. At this point, I have not. I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope,” Mackie said. “They’re doing reshoots and that’s why I’m letting them know I’m available. So whatever weekend they want me there, I’ll fly myself out and shoot whatever scene they want me in. Even if it’s like, ‘Oh man! It’s Iron Man and Hulk.’

“I heard today in one of the interviews that someone thought I was in Ant-Man,” Mackie said. “I hope so! I hope I’m in Ant-Man. I hope I’m in Hulk 3, I hope I’m in Thor 3 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Me and Groot can boogie!”

The Avengers: Age Of Ultron opens May 1st; Captain America: Civil War opens May 6, 2016.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:18830:]]

Recently also saw confirmation that Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan will reprise as Black Widow and the Winter Soldier, respectively, on top of Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Now the latest is that while speaking in a recent interview, Mackie says Captain America: Civil War is “Avengers 3.8.”

“Let’s just say it’s a wing-ding-doozy of a time,” Mackie offered reports Collider.  “The great thing about it is, after seeing The Avengers I joked and said Captain America 2 was Avengers 1.5.  Now with Avengers 2 coming out… Captain America 3 is so far beyond Avengers 2.5 and onto the realm of Avengers 3.8.  It’s by far one of the most stupendous rides Marvel has put together.”

While Marvel has yet to officially announce the plot, Captain America: Civil War will find Captain America at odds with Iron Man for some reason, with heroes taking sides and facing off.

“Captain America: Civil War” opens May 6, 2016 directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.

It’s On! Chris Evans Vs. Chris Pratt For Super Bowl 49

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:18799:]]

Let’s get it on!

Super Bowl 49 is right around the corner pitting the Seattle Seahawks vs. the New England Patriots.

The Seahawks managed to squeeze out a miracle against Green Bay and are on to the Big Game.

Meanwhile, Brady and Belichick are apparently up to their dirty tricks again as New England is now being investigated for intentionally deflating footballs in the game against the Colts, which might cost the Patriots their #1 draft pick for next season (and hopefully another $500k for Belichick!).

Now Captain America and Star-Lord are getting in on the action as a Twitter war has erupted between Chris Evans and Chris Pratt.

Captain America Chris Evans is a Brady fan and originally from Boston, with Pratt backing Russell Wilson and his hometown of Seattle.

Below you can check out a series of tweets between the two.

Kristen Stewart Wants Captain America 3

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:18782:]]

Kristen Stewart, known for playing Bella in the Twilight movies, has stated she is interested in possibly returning to big-budget franchise movies.

While speaking with Yahoo, Stewart noted that her role as Snow White in Snow White and the Huntsman could be a jumping off point for a superhero role.

“I’m sure I could get on board with Captain America, you know what I mean?… It would just have to be the right thing,” she said.

Stewart continued with mention it’s not like she is trying to avoiding big movies.

“I never expected Twilight to even be a series, and we didn’t even know we were going to do a sequel,” Stewart offered. “So I would love another big movie to come along. It’s definitely not something I’m avoiding.”

With Captain America 3 set to be a really big movie as it pits the Marvel heroes against one another, maybe Kristin Stewart could fit in somewhere? Stewart doesn’t specifically state Captain America again, but further notes how she likes her movies to be on a larger scale.

“I was 17 when we started the whole Twilight series. I was so excited to do a teen movie. Everything I had done was like kind of heavy and I was really into it. I was just enthralled by it, and that’s what I need,” she said. “I want to do big movies. You get to play with more stuff and there’s so much more at your disposal. You get to do it on a larger scale, you get to connect with more people. I am all about that. I just want to do it for the right reasons.”

Any ideas which Marvel hero or villain Kristen Stewart could play?

“Captain America: Civil War” has a May 6, 2016 release starring Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Anthony Mackie as Falcon and Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:18749:]]

Captain America: Civil War is fast becoming the next Avengers movie.

Anthony Russo offered the following in the video interview below:

“Captain America 3 is going to be called Captain America: Civil War, and it’s going to star Chris Evans. Scarlett Johansson will be back. Winter Soldier will be back, and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man will also be joining us in the next film.”

Scarlett Johansson can next be seen as Black Widow in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron out May 1, 2015. Captain America: Civil War has a May 5, 2016 release.
