The Superman trailer released in theaters has leaked online which shows off new footage not seen in the online version released on Thursday.
Apparently the theatrical cut of the Superman trailer is playing with Sonic the Hedgehog 3 which started playing in theaters on Thursday with its previews. This also likely means that a second, possibly extended version of the trailer, will eventually be released online.
More bad guys and Mister Terrific
Fans on X have started to post the leaked footage that isn’t featured in the original version. Snippets of the footage include a new look at Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Next to Lex we get to see more of Ultraman who the David Corenswet Superman can be seen fighting in the trailer in the football field. We also get to see María Gabriela de Faría next to Lex as Angela Spica / The Engineer, which seemingly confirms those earlier reports she plays more of a villain role.
There’s also more from Edi Gathegi’s Mister Terrific who is said to play a large part in the film. A promo has also landed online offering a new look at David Corenswet as Clark Kent and Superman.

Superman flies into theaters on July 11, 2025 and also stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, with Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.
