Superman Henry Cavill Teases Shazam?

Will Henry Cavill as Superman be battling Captain Marvel in the Shazam movie?

Director David F. Sandberg has been teasing pre-production of Shazam as the movie started filming last week, and now Henry Cavill could be teasing involvement in Shazam as well. 

The Shazam movie sees a wizard give young Billy Batson the power of the gods who becomes Captain Marvel when he yells the Wizard’s name – Shazam! – and now interestingly enough Henry Cavill mentions a wizard on Instagram.

“Goodbye holiday but hello home! Back to school, back to work or off to see the wizard? What are you guys up to now that the summer is closing?” Henry Cavill posted.

Obviously, Henry Cavill could simply be having fun and be referencing the Wizard of Oz, but maybe he’s teasing Superman for Shazam?

Superman and Captain Marvel do have history in the comics, so a Superman appearance in the Shazam movie wouldn’t be out of the question. In additon, Henry Cavill and Dwayne Johnson have been teasing a super-powered battle between Superman and Black Adam, so maybe the Man of Steel first mixes it up with Captain Marvel prior to appearing in the solo Black Adam film.

Recent rumors surrounding Shazam also offer that John Cena may play the role.
