Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Tickets Outselling Avengers: Endgame

It’s learned that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker tickets are outselling The Avengers: Endgame in its first hour of presales.

The info comes from Atom Tickets, which isn’t as big as Fandango, and we can probably add wasn’t as popular or used by as many people back when The Avengers: Endgame was released, so bear that in mind, but at least it hints that things are healthy for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

According to Atom, they sold 45% more Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker tickets during its first hour than Avengers: Endgame did during its first hour earlier this year.

The company also notes this is a new record for Atom Tickets and also that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is the most anticipated fall release.

Tickets went on sale a couple of hours ago, which preceded the release of the new trailer.

The Avengers: Endgame went on to haul in a record $357.1 million for its open weekend in the U.S., so it will be interesting to see how well The Rise of Skywalker does; back in 2015, Abrams’ The Force Awakens brought in nearly $250 million, with The Last Jedi bringing in only $220 million.
