Potential spoilers follow as a reported Star Wars: Episode VIII script leak is said to contain details about the film.
A YouTube channel posted what they claim is excerpts from a leaked Star Wars: Episode VIII script featuring Luke Skywalker and Snoke.
The scene features Snoke telling Luke that he knows details about his grandfather, which would be Anakin/Darth Vader’s father. Snoke reveals to Luke has has seen his father and offers up this tidbit:
“Of course. After all, what father doesn’t see his own creation?”
The statement seems to insinuate that Snoke is the father to Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader, which would be the grandfather to Luke Skywalker (and if we even speculate further, the possible great-grandfather to Rey).
As we all know, the Star Wars prequels revealed that Anakin didn’t have a father as Episode 1 saw Anakin’s mother make mention that she just became pregnant.
However, the Emperor did state that his own Sith lord, Darth Plagueis, was able to influence the midichlorians to create life, so we can further speculate that Snoke may be Plagueis, or that Snoke might have the same power to create life as well.
