As we posted in our Doctor Strange Easter Egg list, Stan Lee’s Doctor Strange cameo features Stan Lee reading Aldous Huxley’s “The Doors of Perception,” a book about Huxley’s experience taking mind-altering drugs, which is a nod to the movie’s visuals.

“That is hilarious,” Stan Lee says in his Doctor Strange cameo as Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange and Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Mordor smash into the window.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 director James Gunn also filmed Stan Lee’s next four Marvel movie cameos, and Stan Lee is returning for the Disney animated Big Hero 6 series.

“Doctor Strange” is directed by Scott Derrickson starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Mads Mikkelsen.

Synopsis:

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilising a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
