Trying for 15 years
While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Johansson, who is known playing Black Widow in the MCU, expressed her deep-seated desire to join the ranks of the Jurassic World ensemble.
“I’ve been trying to get into the Jurassic World franchise for 15 years,” she revealed. “Really to do anything at all. I would happily die. Immediately.”
She also agreed with Jimmy when he asked if she is freaking out about acting with dinosaurs.
“Yes, 100%,” she said, as she described that while filming she was told to have fear in her eyes but she was in awe.
Best gift she ever received
Scarlett Johansson also recalled Jimmy previously asking her about he best gift she ever received.
“You asked me what the greatest gift I ever received was, and this is the last time I was on the show. This was pre-Jurassic casting, and I said I got a tent. I asked for a Jurassic Park tent when I was like 7 years old. I erected it in my bedroom that I shared with my sister, and I slept in it for a year on the floor,” she said.
Johansson continued, “It was so great. I remember the velociraptors. I remember them coming through shining through in the middle of the night, and that comforted me. And now I am in the new Jurassic movie! It is so crazy! And so, I think we manifested it.”
The new untitled Jurassic World movie is being directed by Gareth Edwards, the visionary filmmaker behind Monsters, Rogue One, and the Creator. The film has a July 2, 2025 release date and also stars Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.
