Robert Downey Jr. Defends Chris Pratt Against Left Attack

Chris Pratt has been attacked by the radical left on social media over his political and religious views which have seen fellow Marvel actors Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Saldana come to his defense as well as James Gunn and wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger.

How it all started is that E! News asked the internet which "Hollywood Chris" is the best, with the choices including Chris Pratt, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Pine.

Well, Chris Pratt ended up last among the actors with responses on social media attacking his conservative political and religious views as well as the thought that Pratt supports Donald Trump, though the Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World actor has never publicly come out and supported the president.

Robert Downey Jr. took to Instagram to defend his friend offering he has Pratt's back.

"What a world... The 'sinless' are casting stones at my brother, Chris Pratt... A real Christian who lives by principle, has never demonstrated anything but positivity and gratitude... AND he just married into a family that makes space for civil discourse and (just plain fact) INSISTS on service as the highest value," said Robert Downey Jr.. "If you take issue with Chris,,, I’ve got a novel idea. Delete your social media accounts, sit with your OWN defects of character, work on THEM, then celebrate your humanness... @prattprattpratt I #gotyerbackbackback."

Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo who is actually a big supporter of Bernie Sanders defends Chris Pratt, too.

"You all, @prattprattpratt is as solid a man there is. I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life. He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now," tweeted Ruffalo.

Director James Gunn, who directed Chris Pratt in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and helped with the Guardian scenes in The Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, also defended his Star-Lord actor.

"Sorry. Just finding out about this nonsense. @prattprattpratt is the best dude in the world. I’ve spent hours & hours sharing my deepest truths with this man, as he has with me. Please stop assuming what he believes, politically or in any other way, because he’s a Christian," tweeted Gunn.

Chris Pratt's wife, who is the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger, also defended her husband.

"Is this really what we need? There's so much going on in the world and people are struggling in so many ways," Katherine Schwarzenegger tweeted. "Being mean is so yesterday. There's enough room to love all these guys. Love is what we all need not meanness and bullying. Let's try that."
