Review: Mister Terrific #3

Issue three of the DCnU's sci-fi, cosmic epic has hit the stands — and I couldn't be happier!

When Eric Wallace told the CBN staff that something in issue three would change the status quo of Mister Terrific — he wasn't kidding! The tectonic plates of his whole existence have begun to shift, and Mister Terrific finds himself questioning everything he has done. His battle with Brainstorm has pushed him too far, and he chooses exile instead of facing his decisions.

Wallace has finally brought depth to one of my favorite characters from the JSA. Michael Holt is rife with cockiness, sadness, brilliance and weakness; a character that can actually appeal to a vast audience without placating to any particular group. But not only does Wallace flesh out Holt, he has built an intricate web of deceit and secrets within the supporting characters as well. Never before has Mister Terrific had such focus and promise than now, and I applaud Eric Wallace for that!

With Scott Clark on art chores and Eric Wallace weaving the tale, the future of Mister Terrific has never looked brighter. And all you cosmic fans out there should get on board now before issue four amps up the sci-fi factor to 11!
