A Quiet Place opened this past weekend in theaters, and it opened pretty big!
The movie opened #1 at the box office with $50 million, which is more than the estimated and expected numbers.
Even Chris Pratt liked it as he released a video on social media.
“HOLY CRAPPP!!!! Stop what you’re doing right now … AND GO SEE ‘A QUIET PLACE’ it’s scary, moving, with amazing performances and a totally original idea. A+++ 97% on rotten tomatoes for a reason. Bring a friend,” Pratt said.
As noted, A Quiet Place is also sitting pretty on Rotten Tomatoes with a 97% score; 185 reviews are Fresh to only 6 being Rotten; 87% of the audience also said they liked it.
Michael Bay also happens to be a producer on A Quiet Place and was happy with the results.
“Our director John Krasinski, actress Emily Blunt, and crew did a fantastic job!!” Bay posted on Facebook.
The movie also added another $21 million internationally and has a present $71 million worldwide box office gross.
