With Netflix set to bring comic book shows to their streaming subscription service, they are apparently now looking to bring video game franchises as well.
The Wall Street Journal reports Netflix and Nintendo are developing a live-action Zelda series.
It’s reported Netflix is in the early stages of the Zelda series, which is about an ordinary boy named Link who must rescue a princess named Zelda and save a fantasy world called Hyrule.
A person said to be familiar with the matter has also stated Netflix is describing the Zelda series as a Game Of Thrones for a family audience.
It’s noted Netflix and Nintendo are working closely together and writer is still being sought for Zelda.
Nintendo also has new highly anticipated open-world Wii-U Zelda game coming out this year.
