Summary
- Rumor suggests a World War Hulk movie is happening, potentially before Avengers: Secret Wars
- The film may not feature the actual Hulk, but a “Hulk-level” threat facing street-level heroes
- The use of cheaper, non-Avengers characters and the lack of Mark Ruffalo’s involvement hints at a low-budget approach
This is a pretty funny rumor, and it goes even further to show us that Kevin Feige and Marvel don’t have a clue, but it’s again rumored a World War Hulk movie is happening.
The kicker? It’s a Hulk-level threat (not even the real Hulk???) vs street-level heroes!
It’s also said the World War Hulk movie could be released before Avengers: Secret Wars, so who knows, if true, maybe Kang Dynasty and Avengers 5 will turn into World War Hulk.
What does the rumor say?
The rumor, via Twitter, says, “The World War Hulk film would unite several street heroes against a Hulk-level threat and the project could appear before Secret Wars.”
So if the rumor is to be believed, it sounds like the Hulk won’t be used, but there will be some “Hulk-level” threat who will be taking on the likes of who? Moon Knight? Daredevil? The Hailee Steinfeld Hawkeye? Echo? LOL.
Update: A new rumor says a smaller team will be used for Avengers 5.

Cheap version coming to the MCU?
If you are familiar with the stellar comic book storyline, World War Hulk spawned from the phenomenal Planet Hulk storyline.
Well, we already know Feige and Marvel butchered Planet Hulk story in Thor: Ragnarok, so adapting WWH in this way wouldn’t be surprising.
We can also add that using street-level Marvel heroes would also probably be a lot cheaper regarding CGI and special effects.
Recall how Mark Ruffalo recently said Marvel can’t afford to do a solo Hulk movie, so it sounds as if they would be using a cheaper “Hulk” with cheap MCU heroes in the flick.
No Mark Ruffalo?
Similar to Captain America: Brave New World, the Mark Ruffalo Hulk might not even be a part of the WWH movie, if you can imagine that.
Harrison Ford is already appearing in Captain America 4 as Red Hulk, so apparently, there isn’t any money left for Ruffalo to appear as the Hulk in Brave New World.
Disney and Marvel can spend $200 million on shitty Disney+ shows like Secret Invasion and She-Hulk, but don’t want to cough up the dough when it really counts.
I don’t know who makes these decisions at Marvel, but the past five years have been a complete disaster. Look what they’re doing with Fantastic Four; they’ll never learn, and nor do I think they care. The MCU has become a clown world.
