It's learned that Marvel may actually be more of a trickster than Loki as it's learned they were putting out fake scripts for The Avengers: Infinity War.
The Art of Avengers: Infinity War movie book reveals an "alternate" opening where Tom Hiddleston and Loki survive the attack by Thanos as Loki uses an escape pod; however, the Art of the Movie book offers it was from a fake script.
"We created a version of the script where Loki would get away in an escape pod at the beginning of the movie," the book reveals. "When we started shooting that particular sequence, we had crew members who were thoroughly confused. We had to let them know that those were fake versions of the script that they read."
The reason Marvel puts out fake scripts for The Avengers: Infinity War is in case someone leaks information as it protects the true story.
News of the fake scripts shouldn't come as a surprise, as director Joe Russo hasn't been quiet about the fact that they intentionally misled fans -- particularly with regards to the Hulk who appeared in The Avengers: Infinity War trailer as part of the Battle of Wakanda.
"We have seen so much content that every average moviegoer has a level of sophistication in their ability to predict what is going to happen in a movie, which is why Anthony and I spent a lot of time trying to hide the secrets of [Avengers: Infinity War], misdirect the way the trailers were cut, misdirect with information. It’s too easy for them to intuit what is going to happen," Joe Russo said after the release of Infinity War.
Interestingly enough, the Art of the Movie book also seemingly offers an alternate ending featuring the Hulk vs Thanos. Maybe that is a fake, too?
It also makes you wonder how much of The Avengers 4 rumors are true?
Regarding Tom Hiddleston and Loki, it has been announced a Loki TV series is in the works from Marvel Studios for the Disney Play streaming app, so maybe the diabolical brother of Thor does survive? One theory going around is that Loki has been Banner all along.
