Laurence Fishburne has jumped ship from DC to Marvel as he now plays Dr. Bill Foster in this week's release of Ant-Man and the Wasp.
The 56-year-old actor also played Perry White for Zack Snyder in the DCEU Henry Cavill Superman films, but Laurence Fishburne says he is unsure if he will be returning to the role and seems pretty happy with Marvel.
"I don't think I'm still on call," Fishburne responded to questioning if he is still on call with DC to return as the editor of the Daily Planet. "I was unfortunately unable to go do some work on what turned out to be the Justice League movie. I don't know that I need to go back or if they'll have me back or not, but I was grateful to have been a part of it. I loved working with Zack [Snyder]. I think he makes an incredible superhero movie. I'm just excited to be a part of this [Ant-Man and the Wasp] now."
As there have been rumors of a Man of Steel 2 (rumored announcement for Comic-Con next week, and Henry Cavill said he would be up for it), Laurence Fishburne is asked if he knows anything about it.
"I don't. I don't," Fishburne said. "I haven't heard anything about it. They just fell behind the eight-ball. I really wish they had started 20 years ago. But that's all right, they're where they are."
Man of Steel 2 could still be a couple of years away or more, so hopefully Laurence Fishburne would be a part of it, as I felt he made a fine Perry White for the DCEU.
Laurence Fishburne also returns for next year's John Wick 3 as Bowery King offering:
"John Wick 3 is going be great. Just finished doing my little bits in New York. And I just started working with Mr. Eastwood again, and Bradley Cooper and Michael Pena on The Mule. So yeah, I got some things happening," he said.
