Is Lauren Cohan Returning To Walking Dead?

It was unclear if Lauren Cohan would be returning for The Walking Dead Season 9 as she was holding out for a better contract–one more in tune with her male co-stars Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus.

On top of that, Lauren Cohan signed on for a new ABC series, Whiskey Cavalier, which seemed to shed doubt on her return to the role of Maggie.

Now Lauren Cohan reveals if she is returning for The Walking Dead Season 9, and fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the answer is yes.

The actress was asked at CinemaCon if she would be returning.

“I’m going back,” Cohan confirmed about The Walking Dead Season 9.

The Walking Dead Season 9 starts filming next week, and as we saw in the Season 8 finale, Maggie has a plan involving Rick that some fans think puts her in the villain role as she disagrees with the notion of keeping Negan alive.

“There’s a lot more Maggie story to tell,” Cohan teased. “You know we’re not allowed to tell you anything, but it’s good.”

Regarding her ABC series, Whiskey Cavalier has yet to be officially picked up and may not start filming for at least a couple of months, so Lauren Cohan has some time to film The Walking Dead Season 9.

What’s unknown is just how long will Maggie be around? Some fans think Maggie might be next to join the horde of Walkers coming there way.
