Disney moves up the release date of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes by two weeks as the flick will now open May 10 instead of May 24.
The move follows Sony moving up the Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire release date and WB moving up the Godzilla x Kong release date.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes moving up two weeks also moves it away from WBâs Furiosa and Sonyâs The Garfield Movie both of which are getting released that May 24 Memorial Day weekend.

What is Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes about?
Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic, franchise set several generations in the future following Caesarâs reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows.
