THR has it that after a long search for the time travelling mutant Cable – which included Brad Pitt and Michael Shannon – Ryan Reynolds and Fox Studios decided to go with Josh Brolin.
According to the report, Josh Brolin has signed a four-picture deal, which includes Deadpool 2, and probably also X-Force, Deadpool 3 and another fourth movie.
It should be noted that The Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2 take place in two different universes (so as not to confuse anyone, but can you imagine the four wall jokes?!). In addition, Josh Brolin won’t be featured in Avengers: Infinity War as himself, as Thanos is created using all digital effects and Brolin provided some mo-cap work.
The Cable role for Josh Brolin is pretty huge as the character is set to become a big part of the Fox Studios X-Men universe.
Deadpool 2 starts filming this June in Vancouver directed by John Wick co-director David Leitch also starring Zazie Beetz as Domino.
