WWE Superstar John Cena as Doctor Manhattan?
It just may happen.
John Cena has been rumored for super hero roles as of late including appearances in Thor: Ragnarok and even Shazam, but the 16-time heavyweight champ has yet to suit up.
Now John Cena is being speculated for the role of Doctor Manhattan in the new HBO Watchmen TV series that is currently in development from Damon Lindeloff.
John Cena posted an image of Doctor Manhattan and the Watchmen smiley face on Instagram which is fueling the speculation.
Billy Crudup played Jon Osterman in the Zack Snyder 2009 Watchmen movie, with his Doctor Manhattan created digitally.
Perhaps the HBO Watchmen series won’t be going the all-digital route, but instead will be using John Cena who is known for being in bodybuilding shape?
I suppose John Cena as Doctor Manhattan could work as he does have acting creds which includes Daddy’s Home 2, The Wall and the Fred movies.
