Jason Momoa is making it clear that 2026 is shaping up to be a massive year for him.
The actor took to Instagram over the past week to tease multiple projects at once — including his long-awaited turn as Lobo, a Street Fighter movie tease, and first-look images from his upcoming Prime Video action film The Wrecking Crew, which also stars Dave Bautista.
“2026. Is gonna be huge. Dream come true. Aloha,” Momoa wrote.

Jason Momoa Teases Lobo Arrival
The Supergirl trailer has officially confirmed Jason Momoa as Lobo.
The role has long been a dream for Momoa, and his recent Instagram posts — packed with chaos, attitude, and biker energy — now read as a victory lap rather than a tease. With Lobo locked in for the DCU, Momoa is officially stepping into the role fans have been calling for since his Aquaman days.
Note: the image of Lobo that Momoa posted is believed to be a fan edit.
Jason Momoa Parties With Street Fighter Movie Cast
Momoa also posted a video showing him partying with the cast of the upcoming Street Fighter movie, alongside a very specific tease.
“Blanka hitching a ride to #TheGameAwards,” he wrote.
The Street Fighter movie is set to hit theaters October 16, 2026, and Jason Momoa is officially confirmed to be playing Blanka.
Momoa teased the role on Instagram by referencing “Blanka hitching a ride to #TheGameAwards.” His involvement adds serious star power to the long-awaited video game adaptation as it heads toward release.
First Look: The Wrecking Crew With Dave Bautista
Momoa also dropped first-look images from The Wrecking Crew, an upcoming Prime Video action film that pairs him with Dave Bautista.
“Two brothers, Hawaii, and a whole lot of wrecking along the way,” Momoa teased.
The Wrecking Crew premieres January 28 on Prime Video and marks another reunion-style project between two of Hollywood’s most physical action stars. The Hawaii setting and buddy-action setup suggest a throwback-style blockbuster with plenty of chaos.
Jason Momoa’s 2026 Is Loaded
Between DC’s Lobo, the Street Fighter movie, and The Wrecking Crew, Jason Momoa is lining up one of the busiest stretches of his career.
If even half of what he’s teasing lands as expected, 2026 could easily be the year Momoa dominates movies, streaming, and pop culture all at once.
