Jason Momoa Reveals First Look At The Crow; Apologizes

Jason Momoa The Crow

Earlier it was learned that Sony Pictures, Jason Momoa and director Corin Hardy had exited The Crow remake over creative differences.

Now Jason Momoa, who was set to star as the titular character, takes to social media to offer up a first look at himself in The Crow makeup as well as concept art, in addition to an apology to the fans.

“I’ve waited 8 years to play this dream role,” Momoa posted on Instagram. “I love you @corinhardy and @sonypictures unfortunately I may have to wait 8 more. Not our team. But I swear I will. James O’Barr sorry to let you down I won’t on the next. This film needs to be set free. And to the fans. Sorry. I can’t play anything but what this film deserves and it needs love. I’m ready when it’s right. Love u Corin aloha j.”

In the image below, Jason Momoa can be seen holding a piece of concept art where he is featured with The Crow eye makeup, with director Corin Hardy also pictured. Last month also saw Hardy post that he was in Budapest for pre-production on The Crow as filming was going to begin in June.

Specific reasons haven’t been given why the project fell apart other than Sony couldn’t close a deal with the producer who owns the rights to the movie, which in turn saw both Momoa and Hardy leave.
