Infinity War Fans Upset With Chris Pratt & Star-Lord?

This is pretty surprising coming from my end, but Marvel fans are actually upset at Chris Pratt and Star-Lord about what happened in The Avengers: Infinity War.

Warning: Spoilers follow.

Before we dive into things, my question to those fans: Did you not see either Guardians of the Galaxy or Guardians of the Galaxy 2 that depicted Star-Lord as Bozo The Clown (lol)??

Fans are flooding Chris Pratt’s Instagram page in regards to Star-Lord’s reaction when learning that Thanos killed Gamora, which saw Star-Lord in turn punch Thanos causing the Mad Titan himself to wake up and proceed to destroy half the universe.

Why are fans so upset??

It’s the same goofy Star-Lord that had a “dance off, bro” moment with Ronan at the end of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie over the Power Stone; the same goofy Star-Lord that has Footloose as his favorite film; the same goofy Star-Lord that looks up to David Hasselhoff, and the same goofy Star-Lord that made some lame attempt to mimic Thor in Infinity War.

The guy is a moron–just like Rocket Raccoon said!

Of course he is going to mess things up, right?

This isn’t the Star-Lord from the comics – which saw Peter Quill use Mantis to manipulate the other members to form the team in the first place – it’s a cheap and cheezy knock off of Flash Gordon (Infinity War‘s joke, not mine).    

I think the Infinity War writers had me in mind when they made all those jokes about Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy (Tony Stark mentioning not dancing with Thanos, lol, etc).

Honestly, I didn’t have as much of a problem with Star-Lord in Infinity War as I did with the previous Guardians of the Galaxy movies.  Infinity War saw Star-Lord and Gamora profess their love for one another for the first time (I believe), and then Gamora is killed off. Star-Lord just found out his girlfriend was murdered. I would like to see your reaction to finding out the guy that murdered your wife, husband, girlfriend, son, daughter, friend is standing right in front of you. I bet it would be similar.

One thing I can say, is now you all realize where I have been coming from for the past four years. Just imagine if the two Guardians of the Galaxy movies were on the level of The Avengers: Infinity War? Would have been EPIC.
