‘House of the Dragon’ Finale Leaks Online

Whoops!

The Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon finale has leaked online ahead of Sunday’s debut on HBO.

No worries No spoilers here.

According to THR, HBO is attributing the House of the Dragon finale leak to a distribution partner in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa and monitoring the situation.

“It appears to have originated from a distribution partner in the EMEA region,” said an HBO spokesperson. “HBO is aggressively monitoring and pulling these copies from the internet.”

The message continued: “We’re disappointed that this unlawful action has disrupted the viewing experience for loyal fans of the show, who will get to see a pristine version of the episode when it premieres Sunday on HBO and HBO Max, where it will stream exclusively in 4K.”

The House of the Dragon season finale leaked online Friday where it has been available at various torrent sites, but again, HBO is ” aggressively monitoring” the leaks and taking down any pirated copies.

House of the Dragon Season finale kicks off the “Dance of the Dragons”

The Season finale kicks off the “Dance of the Dragons,” a reference from the books involving the civil war during the succession between Aegon II and his half-sister Rhaenyra over their father Viserys I’s throne.

Creator George R. R. Martin posted on his blog that the “Dance of the Dragons” should take four seasons to unfold.

“If HOUSE OF THE DRAGON had 13 episodes per season, maybe we could have shown all the things we had to ‘time jump’ over… though that would have risked having some viewers complain that the show was too ‘slow,’ that ‘nothing happened,’” wrote Martin on his blog.

He continued, “As it is, I am thrilled that we still have 10 hours every season to tell our tale.  (RINGS OF POWER has only 8, as you may have noticed, and my AMC show DARK WINDS is doing 6 episode seasons).   I hope that will continue to be true.   It is going to take four full seasons of 10 episodes each to do justice to the Dance of the Dragons, from start to finish.”
