House of the Dragon Season 2 is turning out to be a major disappointment, with Episode 6 no different. Again, it is the same thing over and over, the characters standing around talking.
As I stated before, Episode 4 was really good, but it doesnât justify the rest of the series being boring as hell.
Episode 6 is more of the sameâdisappointing and dull. Once again, there is no action. Weâre told about cool events, but we donât get to see them. Itâs predictable. Like much of what Hollywood has been producing lately, it feels like Hollywood is injecting its own agenda into the characters and the show.

First letâs get to Queen Rhaenyra who is now a lesbian. I thought it felt forced and unnecessary. Rhaenyra has become a hysterical basket case as of late. She hasnât been a leader. She slaps that dude (men are bad), sheâs not getting along with her husband (men are bad) and makes out with a girl (girls are better). Itâs hilarious. I donât think Rhaenyra is a lesbian in the books, but it might be hinted at. Regardless, itâs a win for the LGBQT+ and non-binary community (cue the party horns!).

How about poor Sir Steffan? No offense to the actor but there is a reason they cast the dude in the part. Sir Steffan didnât have a chance, lol. Dracarys! Who didnât know that was coming?
So what that did was set up Seasmoke getting a rider. So all within one episode, mere hours time in the show, all of a sudden, Seasmoke now has a rider, which of course is setting things up in the final episode, where, hopefully, weâll get some cool action. I previously went over how I donât know which characters are which. I have no idea who this new rider is other than the brother of the guy that saved Lord Corlys. I also think in this episode they showed the bald brother shaving his head, and he had blond hair, right? And heâs been hiding it all along? So that means they are Targaryens. Was any of this hinted at in previous episodes? Honestly, I canât remember. If not, itâs really forced.

This episode is also more hallucinations from Prince Daemon. I mean, holy shit! What a waste of a character. Iâll tell you whatâs going on: They didnât know to do with Matt Smithâs character so they have sidelined him for the entire season. How many episodes has it been of the same shit over and over and over again? We get it. If you didnât catch it (I didnât), so what happened is apparently the witch killed Grover Tully (who?). Recall how she tells Daemon âthe winds are gonna change in 3 days.â Well, then Grover Tully dies. What sucks is again we donât get to see it. I donât even have an idea who the fuck Grover Tully is. The security for these Lords in their own houses also really sucks. Thatâs what? Three times something similar like this has happened this season?

The riot was a mixed bag for me. They needed to build things better. Yeah, that family has been wanting for food (though the father sure isnât lacking anything). They showed the gates closing in on them the one episode. This episode, Rhaenyra sends the food to the shores. Question: There is a war going on, the kingâs son has been murdered, and the army of Kingâs Landing isnât watching for ships?

What I did like about the episode is the scenes with Aemond. I liked how Aemond got rid of his mother from the council and appointed his grandfather as The Hand. However, Otto never responds! It also seemed as if he was going to kill his brother in his bed. That exchange between Aemond and Larys was really good. Larys thought he was going to be The Hand, but Aemond was setting him up the whole time. Aemond isnât a dumb ass like his brothers, even though they made him look like that in the full-frontal episode.
This episode gets a 4/10 rating.
