Fox Keeping Fantastic Four Reviews Under Wraps Until Release

[page_title]

When various news sites are given advanced viewings of movies, their reviews are usually first given to the movie studios, with the studios also setting the timetable the reviews can be released.

Some reviews are online a week or two in advance of the movie’s release, which helps to give said movie a little free publicity. In addition, movie aggregate sites like WB’s Rotten Tomatoes can then rate the movie and so forth.

Regarding the advanced reviews for the Fantastic Four movie, it’s learned Fox Studios is holding them out until the film’s release, which obviously raises the question whether the reviews are mostly negative.

Kyle Buchanan, a Senior Editor at Vulture, tweeted out that Fox won’t let the online reviews for Fantastic Four be released until the day before the movie is out, and the paper reviews only when the movie is officially released.

“Fantastic Four” has an August 7, 2015 release directed by Josh Trank from a screenplay by Jeremy Slater, Simon Kinberg and Josh Trank; produced by Matthew Vaughn, Simon Kinberg, Hutch Parker, Robert Kulzar and Gregory Goodman; starring: Miles Teller, Michael B.
