Flashpoint Doesn't Have A Director

With all the changes currently happening to the DCEU as we know it, now it’s learned the Flashpoint movie has no director as of yet.

While it was thought John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were on board the Flashpoint movie, it’s learned they haven’t signed on and also haven’t begun work on the project.

“We’re still negotiating,” Daley told THR at the premiere of Game Night, which the duo directed for WB. “Deals are in the works right now.”

It’s noted that Daley and Goldstein insist that they haven’t started working on the script, yet because “we have to sign the deal,” Daley said. “Hopefully, it will work out.”

Regarding why the deal might not be done is unknown, but it could have to do with WB waiting to see how Game Night is received (currently 82% at Rotten Tomatoes). The delay could also have to do with the executive changes on the DC films, and honestly, I am also wondering if WB will even do Flashpoint movie or do an entirely different movie for The Flash. The Flashpoint comic book storyline is pretty dark, and as of right now, I can’t see DC doing another dark movie. I suppose they could always lighten up Flashpoint somehow?

Which superhero has the best origin story?
