The Flash Season 3 Started Filming

Season 3 of The Flash is officially underway!

Grant Gustin took to Instagram to post the news along with an image of himself from the first episode as Barry Allen.

“Look who’s back. Baby faced Barry,” Gustin said and added the hashtags: “#Day1 #TheFlashSeason3” to the post.

Regarding “Baby faced Barry” we know the first episode for The Flash Season 3 is titled “Flashpoint” as the Season 2 finale saw Barry go back in time to save his mother, which we expect to have massive ramifications on the timeline. It’s possible that Barry Allen might no longer even be The Flash.

Gustin previously said their Flashpoint story will be a new for the series and not related to the popular comic book storyline.

The latest news for The Flash Season 3 includes that Kevin Smith will be directing episode 7, and Harry Potter’s Tom Felton has joined the cast.

The Flash Season 3 villain is currently unknown, but Gustin tweeted it won’t be a metahuman.

The Flash will also be at this month’s Comic-Con which may provided details. Here is the description for the panel:

Parallel universes…and doppelgangers…and man-sharks, oh my! The second season of The CW’s highest-rated series had more than its fair share of twists and turns, but none compared to Barry Allen’s jaw-dropping decision to go back in time and save his mother from his arch-nemesis, Reverse-Flash, a decision that called the entire timeline into question. But fear not, fans, you won’t have to wait until the fall to start getting answers to some of your most pressing questions, as the cast and creative team behind the show make their annual appearance at Comic-Con to begin giving fans insight into the show’s highly anticipated third season.

“The Flash” Season 3 premiers Tuesday, October 4th at 8pm ET on The CW.
