First Look At Jon Favreau Star Wars

While strong is Kathleen Kennedy with the Dark Side, we still have Jon Favreau as our only hope as the Iron Man director is developing a new Star Wars TV series for the Disney Plan streaming app.

It’s reported Jon Favreau starts filming the Star Wars TV series next week, with the first batch of set images hitting the net.

According to Making Star Wars, they have it that the live-action Star Wars TV series is about the Mandalorian Warriors (like Boba Fett) after the fall of the Empire. It’s said the series will involve familiar locations including Mandalore and Tatooine. The details are said to also involve that the story will take place around three years after Return of the Jedi.

“I couldn’t be more excited about Jon coming on board to produce and write for the new direct-to-consumer platform,”  Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said when the series was first announced. “Jon brings the perfect mix of producing and writing talent, combined with a fluency in the Star Wars universe. This series will allow Jon the chance to work with a diverse group of writers and directors and give Lucasfilm the opportunity to build a robust talent base.”

Favreau also said: “If you told me at 11 years old that I would be getting to tell stories in the Star Wars universe, I wouldn’t have believed you. I can’t wait to embark upon this exciting adventure.”
