Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F Gets Extended Theater Run

Good news for fans of Dragon Ball Z as the latest movie, Resurrection F, is getting an extended viewing in movie theaters.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F was due to end its limited nine day run last night, but it’s learned Funimation has extended the screenings at least until this weekend.

Deadline reports Funimation has been fielding calls from movie theaters requesting to keep the movie playing at least through the weekend.

According to the report, details between the sides are still being worked out, but it’s a definitely good sign for Dragon Ball Z as the movie has done exceptionally well.

The movie played in only 457 theaters, but has netted over $8 million at the domestic box office and over $60 million worldwide.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F also cracked the top ten movies for box office performance for the week and saw its Tuesday debut break records.
