Doctor Strange Teased For Thor: Ragnarok

Doctor Strange Teased For Thor: Ragnarok

While I don’t think it has officially been announced, it’s heavily speculated that Benedict Cumberbatch appears in Thor: Ragnarok as Doctor Strange.

It definitely seems likely especially considering the Doctor Strange movie post-credit scene featuring Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.

It’s possible there could be another short scene in Thor: Ragnarok of Doctor Strange on Earth, as Odin goes missing and reportedly ends up on Earth as a hobo.

Now the latest regarding Benedict Cumberbatch and Doctor Strange in Thor: Ragnarok comes from director Taiki Waititi who offers the following on Twitter.

Thor: Ragnarok director Taiki Waititi posts an image of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange – thought to be from the Thor 3 movie set – and jokes the other person in the image is Michael Fassbender.

Happy Birthday Michael Fassbender!

Thor: Raganarok has a November 3, 2017 release directed by Taika Waititi starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk/Banner, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Sam Neill in an unknown role.

Synopsis:

Thor’s world is about to explode in Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok. His devious brother, Loki, has taken over Asgard, the powerful Hela has emerged to steal the throne for herself and Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe. To escape captivity and save his home from imminent destruction, Thor must first win a deadly alien contest by defeating his former ally and fellow Avengers… The Incredible Hulk!
