Back in September saw it announced that a Loki and Tom Hiddleston series is in the works from Marvel Studios, and now Disney confirms the show.
Today saw the company hold a conference call where they announced the name of their streaming service to be “Disney+” along with the Loki series and second Star Wars series.
Disney+ is also assembling a live-action series centered around a fan-favorite character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Iger today confirmed that Marvel Studios is developing a series based on Loki, the god of mischief, to star Tom Hiddleston.
An earlier report also offered an Elizabeth Olsen Scarlet Witch series is in development, as is a team-up series for Anthony Mackie as Falcon and Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier.
The series have also been said to be around six to eight episodes in length and be of a high budget.
Both Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen recently confirmed their involvement in the Disney+ streaming TV services when asked who would win in a fight.
“I don’t know if we are fighting any time soon,” Olsen said.
As Loki seemingly died in Infinity War, it remains to be seen where the Disney app series takes place: A prequel? Or does The Avengers 4 bring the god of mischief back?
