Metamorpho incoming
It looks as if the David Corenswet Superman is getting harassed and pelted by a crowd of people as he walks into Stagg Industries, which in DC lore is a research and development firm founded by billionaire entrepreneur Simon Stagg.
First look at Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho
Well, in the comics, Stagg is responsible for turning Rex Mason into Metamorpho who is played by Anthony Carrigan in Superman.
In the comics, his powers include:
Metamorpho has the ability to transmute his body into a wide variety of elemental compounds and form them at will. Originally, he was limited to elements that were naturally found in the human body. Somehow, this limitation seems to have disappeared. He can stretch, bounce, elongate, and reform himself like rubber or plastic. Rex is able to alter the consistences of these chemical elements and combines them into complex compounds. Metamorpho could reshape parts or the whole of his body. Rex’s body provides him with natural armor, offering damage resistance from blunt and energy attacks.[35] He is also a skilled martial artist, archaeologist, and detective.
Helps Superman
The footage shows Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner powering up his Green Lantern ring and creates a barrier so the people can’t get in the building and apparently continue to attack Superman. Interestingly, the start of the trailer shows Superman all bloody. Does he lose his powers?
“Guy Gardner is a gold mine”
Recently while speaking with Collider, Fillion revealed why he likes the character:
Guy Gardner is 90% flawed and doesn’t care. That’s one of his flaws. I think there’s a real freedom in playing that. So, for a guy who likes to play flaws and flawed people, Guy Gardner is a gold mine.”
Superman flies into theaters on July 11, 2025. Watch the trailer here.
