Update: DC Comcs has announced the Superman “Super League” event which explains the switch.
Was anyone else looking forward to the New 52 Superman meeting the pre-52 Superman in March’s Superman #50?
Well that doesn’t look to be happening anymore.
Bleeding Cool points out DC Comics has now switched up the covers and solicit for Superman #50.
It’s unknown why or what caused the changes.
Superman #50 now gets a new cover, a new 1:100 variant cover and a Batman Vs. Superman cover.
Original solicit:
Superman returns in all his glory in this very special issue that sees the Man of Steel back to full power as he faces his greatest enemy and also comes face to face with the pre-Flashpoint Kal-El! At last, it’s the meeting of the Supermen you’ve been waiting for!
New solicit:
With Superman back at full power, he takes the fight right to Vandal Savage in the epic conclusion to Savage Dawn! You won’t want to miss Vandal’s vision of Krypton – and a glimpse at dark future he might rule!
