Though Jason Statham was rumored for Bullseye in Daredevil, which has since been debunked, the actor states he’s not too impressed with Marvel and superhero movies in general.
Statham, known for doing martial arts action flicks, says in the above video his grandma can do superhero movies.
Here’s the blurb:
“A lot of the modern sort of action movies I see, you know Marvel Comic sort of things, I just think any guy can do it. I have no ambition… I mean I can take my gradma and put here in a cape and put her on green screen and they’ll have stunt doubles come in and do all the action. Anybody can do it. They are relying on stunt doubles and green screen and 200 million dollar budgets. It’s all CGI created. So to me that is not authentic. I’m inspired by all old real star – guys that can really do their thing.”
This isn’t the first time Statham has taken a jab at superhero movies as a couple of years ago, he stated “the shoes wouldn’t fit” and that the “cape wouldn’t fit” when questioned about doing a comic book movie.
Statham did state back in 2008 that he would love to be Daredevil, and has studied Kung Fu, karate and kickboxing.
