Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson has taken to Twitter to explain the movie’s PG-13 rating. Have a look:

If the wording happens to turn your world upside down, your not the only one as footage from the Doctor Strange Comic-Con trailer revealed something similar.
Here’s what the tweet actually says:
“Rated P-13 For Kaleidoscopic Galactic Intensity And Other-Dimensional Psychotropic Violence.”
Speaking of dimensions, Derrickson also offered that Doctor Strange is introducing the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse.
“Doctor Strange” has a November 4, 2016 release starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Mads Mikkelsen.
Synopsis:
Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilising a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
