For fans hoping to see Daredevil side-by-side the Avengers or even Spider-Man, here is more evidence that it isn’t happening any time soon, if at all.

Charlie Cox again rules out an appearance in the Marvel movies.

“There was no conversation about joining any of the movies,” Cox said, reports CNet, though the Daredevil actor did state he would like to appear. “Who wouldn’t want to be in the highest grossing film of all time?”

Charlie Cox previously even questioned if the Marvel movies and Marvel TV existed in the same universe, which goes to show just how separate the two studios really are.

“Yeah. That would be the coolest thing ever. Marvel TV and Marvel Studios are two very different things,” said Cox. “Even if the character were to appear in that film, that doesn’t necessarily mean that I would appear in that film. I will pick a fight with the guy that they choose!… So that would be a dream, but that’s not something that has been discussed.”

Likewise, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn recently said the same.

“There is Marvel TV who is pretty disconnected from Marvel Film, which is owned by Disney, and that’s really not connected at all,” Gunn said.

So why all the bad blood?

It’s been reported eccentric Marvel Entertainment CEO Ike Perlmutter is to blame as he butted heads with Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige over various strategies and policies. Most recently saw it reported that Feige had parted ways with Perlmutter and Perlmutter’s comic/TV crew consisting of Joe Quesda, Brian Bendis and Jeph Loeb.
