Bumblebee Spinoff For Transformers 6 In 2018

Disney & Jared Leto's 'Tron: Ares' Bombs At Box Office: Covid Blamed

Earlier today saw Paramount announce three new Transformers movie release dates, and now it’s learned the sixth movie due out in 2018 is actually a Bumblebee spinoff film.

“This summer we worked closely with a talented team of A-list screenwriters to map out the future of the Transformers cinematic universe, and as [Hasbro President] Brian [Goldner] announced earlier, things kick off in a major way in 2017 with the release of Transformers 5 in June. And we’re working on a spin-off movie centered around Bumblebee for 2018 and the next chapter for 2019,” Tom Warner, the Transformers franchise leader for Hasbro, said during a conference call about Toy Fair.

The Transformers Bumblebee movie is due out June 8, 2018 making it set to go against Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla sequel.

The “talented team of A-list screenwriters” mentioned above was led by Akiva Goldsman who came up with the new Transformers movies and spinoffs.

Transformers 5 is due out June 23, 2017, with Michael Bay returning to direct and Mark Wahlberg back as well. Transformers 7 has a June 28, 2019 release date.
