Will we be seeing a sequel to G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra?
The movie was better than I thought it was going to be, so I definitely wouldn’t mind.
The Toronto Sun quotes Channing Tatum (Duke) saying we just might:
“Supposedly there’s a script that’s liked by the studio. I haven’t seen it. They’re always really tight with information on these big movies.”
G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra came out in 2009 that saw a rebooted Hasbro toy line, as well. A the Sun notes, the movie didn’t do all that well grossing a little over $300 million worldwide.
In related news, Tatum’s next movie will be the sci-fi romantic epic Ion that is being produced by Ridley and Tatum Scott. Apparently, this is trying to play off the success of Avatar, as Channing Tatum “plays a man who travels to different Earths and dimensions in order to find his reincarnated lover,” according to Screen Rush.
