A couple of days ago saw it revealed that Ben Affleck has been named as an executive producer on the Justice League movie.
It was reported that Ben Affleck “will work with director Zack Snyder and screenwriter Chris Terrio behind the scenes to make the film the best it can be.”
Now it’s learned that some of Affleck’s duties will be to help rewrite the Justice League script (which is currently filming).
While Terrio might be an Oscar award-winning Hollywood screenplay writer, his Batman Vs. Superman script was a complete disaster. Now whether that’s Terrio’s fault, Snyder’s fault or David Goyer’s fault is anyone’s guess (or all three), the fact is Terrio never read a comic book in his life prior to writing Batman Vs. Superman, and Terrio is said to have at least written the new and younger Lex Luthor, which a lot of fans loathed.
So it’s definitely a good thing Ben Affleck is coming on board to offer his two cents on Justice League. Affleck also co-wrote the upcoming solo Batman movie with DC Entertainment chief creative officer and comic book writer Geoff Johns. It’s assumed Affleck will direct the solo Batman movie as well.
Affleck is also currently in the UK with his family for the filming of Justice League.
“Justice League” has a November 17, 2017 release directed by Zack Snyder starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Willem Dafoe in an unknown role.
