With the release of the new trailer and poster also comes cool new Empire Magazine covers for The Avengers: Endgame, which sees the Russo brothers take to social media to tease, "It's time to Avenge the fallen."
The poster and the covers feature the surviving characters from Infinity War along with newcomer Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, and a pair of covers also features none other than the Great Titan himself -- Thanos!
The Russos' words do hold true in the movie as a recent scene released revealed the surviving Avengers banding together perhaps one last time to take on Thanos. Spoilers: Rocket Raccoon is able to track down Thanos' energy signature due to the high amount of energy released when Thanos uses the Infinity Gauntlet, as the same energy signature found on Earth is found on another planet. Maybe this time Thor will go for the head?!
Speaking of the Avengers taking on Thanos, do they actually think they have a chance against the Great Titan? Their numbers are cut in half, but they do happen to have Captain Marvel, who is the living embodiment of the Space Stone! Following her first appearance in the Captain Marvel movie, set in the 90s, now thirty years later, her experience and powers have only improved! During the Captain Marvel post-credit scene, it is wondered who Nick Fury is trying to contact, when - quicker than you can snap your fingers - Captain Marvel appears out of nowhere! What kind of new powers does she have? Will it be enough to defeat Thanos and avenge the fallen?!
