Avengers: Endgame Deleted Scene: Heroes Pay Respect To Dead Tony Stark

With the upcoming release of the Digital and Blu-Ray, Marvel Studios releases a tear-jerking deleted scene from The Avengers: Endgame featuring the heroes paying tribute to the death of Tony Stark.

As we all know, Tony Stark gave up his life to save the universe by using the Infinity Gauntlet. The deleted scene below features Pepper holding a dead Tony with the Avengers looking on and kneeling one by one.

Especially touching is the looks on the faces of Captain America and Doctor Strange, as Doctor Strange knew this is how things would play out when he went into the future in Infinity War to search through the millions and millions of possibilities to defeat Thanos.

It’s a wonder why this scene was actually deleted, but the Russos offer their thoughts.

“It’s a beautiful scene with moving performances, but we filmed it prior to Tony Stark’s funeral,” directors Joe and Anthony Russo told USA Today. “The funeral scene ultimately became a more resonant and emotional reflection on Tony’s death for us.”

The Avengers: Endgame gets released on Digital on July 30 and on Blu-Ray on August 13 (full details here).
