In addition to The Avengers 2 promo pieces showing up at the Consumers Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Marvel Studios showed off some new footage from the movie.
According to IGN, the featurette focused on Ultron and used scenes from The Avengers 2 trailer along with comments from director Joss Whedon and some of the actors talking about the importance of Ultron as a villain.
New footage was shown including a shot of the Ultron drones bursting through walls of a train in the slow-mo Quicksilver sequence from The Avengers 2 trailer.
Another new scene took place during the villa sequence where Iron Man flies at the camera leaving Ultron drones in his wake.
A third scene showed the destruction of a Samsung building.
The featurette also showed off more Ultron concept art including Ultron in its “broken” state, and it’s said the piece suggests how advanced Ultron really gets in the movie.
Comments from Joss Whedon are said to include that that whenever he thought of the Avengers, he pictured them fighting Ultron.
Whedon also stated he was responsible for getting James Spader to play Ultron as that is who he wanted for the role.
