Spoiler Confirmed As Reverse Flash, But There’s More

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:18709:]]

With today’s announcement that The Flash has been renewed for a Season 2 comes with it the identity of the Reverse Flash.

Dr. Harrison Wells, played by Tom Cavanagh, is the Reverse Flash.

“He’s the man in the yellow suit. Yes, I am Reverse Flash,” Cavanagh revealed during The CW’s Television Critics Association’s panel, reports EW.com

While Cavanagh revealed he was the Reverse Flash, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg adds something that doesn’t quite fit as he suggests there is another Reverse Flash.

“We’re going to see what happened that night [Barry’s mother was murdered] from the Reverse Flash’s point of view,” Kreisberg said. “I didn’t say it was from Wells’ point of view, I said it was from the Reverse Flash’s point of view.”

It’s possible a second Reverse Flash might be Eddie Thawne, played by Rick Cosnett, as the same episode saw the Reverse Flash hesitate in striking Eddie, and Thawne is the character in the DC comics as well.

“His name is not an accident,” Kreisberg said. “Eddie’s connection to the Reverse Flash lore is going to pay off big time in the back half of the year.”

It’s also reported that Cavanagh stated “there is just one Reverse Flash,” which has started speculation that Wells and Thawne might actually be one and the same person, with Wells a future version of Thawne (or how about from a different Earth ala “Crisis”?).

“The Flash” returns Tuesday, January 20th at 8pm ET on the CW.

Watch: New Star Wars Lightsaber Crossguards Tested Out

With the recent debut of the teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (watch below) came with it a bit of controversy surrounding the look of the new lightsaber.

Some fans complained online that the crossguards might hurt the wielder as they appear to be energy shooting out from side-to-side.

Another theory is that whomever built the lightsaber didn’t know what he/she was doing, which is why the crossguards were built to possibly funnel away excess energy.

Well, just maybe the person that did build the new lightsaber was smarter than everyone else.

Check out the video above where the Thegn Thrand YouTube channel puts the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens lightsaber to the test.

They test the crossguard out to see if it would indeed hurt the wielder or it it would be an effective weapon against an opponent.

Watch: Better Call Saul Extended Trailer

AMC has released an extended trailer for the upcoming Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul.

Better Call Saul kicks off with a two-night series premiere on Sunday, February 8th at 10/9c and Monday, February 9th at 10/9c.

About

Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White’s lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is “fixer” Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy’s transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts “criminal” in “criminal lawyer.”

The series also stars Michael McKean as Chuck, Rhea Seehorn as Kim, Patrick Fabian as Hamlin, and Michael Mando as Nacho — characters that will represent both legitimate and illegitimate sides of the law.

Breaking Bad creator and showrunner Vince Gilligan and Breaking Bad writer and producer Peter Gould created the show together and serve as co-showrunners of the premiere season. Gilligan directed the first episode of the series, which has already been greenlit for a second season of 13 episodes. The debut season will consist of 10 episodes.

Corey Stoll Dishes On Yellowjacket In Ant-Man

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:18692:]]

Corey Stoll is set to play the villain of the Ant-Man movie Darren Cross, aka Yellowjacket.

While speaking with EW.com, Stoll offers some background on the character with specific details.

“I was this child prodigy that Michael Douglas’ character Hank Pym discovered at an early age,” Stoll said of his character. “He nurtured me and I was part of his technology company. I started to become aware of these rumors of this fabled technology that can shrink people to half an inch while keeping their full-size strength. And I became very obsessed with it and demanded that we move forward. But Pym had sort of buried it for ethical, moral reasons.”

The article continues with mention of an interesting tidbit regarding Evangeline Lilly’s character, Hope Van Dyne, in that she “colludes” with Stoll to take over Hank Pym’s company, with Stoll adding the following revealing the Yellowjacket suit is more advanced than the Ant-Man suit.

“Now, I’ve discovered my own version of that technology and I’m using it for militaristic purposes,” Stoll said. “I’ve even started to use the technology myself, which as a sort of psychotic effect on people if they use it too much. I can’t get into the details of all the goodies of the Yellowjacket suit but it’s several generations advanced from what Ant-Man has. And then I put it on—and then I am Yellowjacket!”

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:18693:]]

Screenwriter Gary Whitta has completed a first draft for the 2016 Star Wars spinoff and has announced his departure in order to write the script for the Mark Millar Starlight movie.

The Hollywood trade sites are stating with Whitta leaving Star Wars, a new screenwriter should be announced soon.

Apparently after a year of working on the Star Wars spinoff script with director Gareth Edwards, Whitta has decided to move on to the Millar movie.

Now Marvel Kills Off Deadpool

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:18681:]]

Fox Studios recently announced the Deadpool movie with a February 12, 2016 starring Ryan Reynolds.

Marvel Comics just announced they are killing off the Merc With The Mouth in Deadpool #250 out in April.

Released via The Nerdist, below you can check out the solicit for Deadpool #250 for April which reads “FINAL ISSUE.”

While it may not really be Deadpool’s 250th issue (read more below), this latest series has been together since 2012.

Marvel Comics recently killed off Wolverine as well.

It’s been rumored that Marvel and Fox are at odds due to Fox owning the film rights to the X-Men characters.

It’s also been said Marvel Comics is using the Inhumans to take the X-Men’s place.

Marvel recently announced a new “Uncanny Inhumans” ongoing following Marvel Studios announcing the new Inhumans movie.

Wolverine and Deadpool were the most popular of the X-Men characters.

As a Marvel Cosmic fan who saw his two favorite comic books get cancelled due to a movie, I really wish the X-Men fans would band together and complain to Marvel about the treatment of their favorite characters. Vote with your wallets like the Marvel Cosmic fans, guys.
