After a long 16 years, star Mike Myers confirms Austin Powers 4 is in the works with a return to Dr. Evil and more.
“You’re going to see Dr. Evil soon, somewhere in the culture. The movie… it’s looking good,” Myers told Access. “They take a long time to write, they always have.”
Mike Myers also said the reason for the long absence of an Austin Powers 4 is due to him having a family and having three kids under the age of seven, in addition to director Jay Roach being busy.
The first movie kicked off back in 1997 with Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, which only made a bit over $67 million worldwide; however, word quickly got out how good the movie was, with its sequels, 1999’s Austin Powers:
The Spy Who Shagged Me and 2002’s Austin Powers in Goldmember grossing over $600 million worldwide.
