Why don’t fans like The Acolyte trailer?

Regarding why fans don’t like The Acolyte trailer, it probably has a lot to do with the failure of Star Wars under Kathleen Kennedy, so fans are voicing their thoughts through the trailer reaction.

It also probably has to do with the showrunner behind the series, Leslye Headland, in regards to her comments about Star Wars in addition to her politics.

Headland recently revealed she pitched The Acolyte to Kathleen Kennedy as Frozen meets Kill Bill, and she admitted writers on the series never watched Star Wars, which she said was a good thing. The cast also doesn’t seem to have a clue about Star Wars as well.

She also said she is the type of Star Wars fans that doesn’t “even have a favorite movie.”

Check out reactions below where many of the comments reference the “Close your eyes, what do you see” meme.
