The Acolyte Merchandise Mysteriously Returns To Disney Store?

Following the cancellation of The Acolyte, various sites, fans on social media, Redditors and YouTubers ran with it that Disney yanked the merchandise from the official Disney Store.

However, that’s not the case, at least as of Thursday.

I’m not sure what happened, but when I checked yesterday, I did find The Acolyte merchandise on the Disney Store. Maybe they put it back?

I do believe when I checked yesterday that The Acolyte was NOT listed under the “Star Wars” filter, but now we see it appears. We also see Andor is NOT listed in the “Star Wars” filter, but does have merch on the Disney Store. Likewise, when I click on the Marvel filter, it only shows Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Will Disney yank The Acolyte from Disney+?

Some fans are also using this and going with the thought that Disney might yank The Acolyte from Disney+ the same way they did Willow.

Personally, I don’t think Disney will yank The Acolyte from Disney+ because it’s part of the overall Star Wars brand, while Willow was simply a one-and-done (yeah, they both suck).

I think Disney is well aware of the bad publicity yanking The Acolyte from Disney+ would give them. On the flipside, maybe it would go a long way to mending things with the true Stars Wars fans?

Disney may also want to save a boat load of money by yanking The Acolyte from Disney+ and not having to pay residuals. The Acolyte does happen to be the least-watched Star Wars show on Disney+ and one of the most expensive.
