Disney released a poster for their new Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, ahead of today’s trailer and panel at the D23 Expo.
Details include the reveal comes during the Disney Plus panel on Friday, August 23 at 3:30 p.m. in Hall D23, which includes the sneak preview of the upcoming live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian.
Executive producer Jon Favreau will be joined by Dave Filoni (supervising director on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and writer/director on The Mandalorian) and other special guests for an on-stage presentation offering a glimpse at the titular bounty hunter and his travels to the outer reaches of the galaxy far, far away.
Jon Favreau also recently told THR: “If you notice, there’s a certain look that the Mandalorian lead character has, there’s a size that the spaceship is, there’s a scale that lines up with the original trilogy. I’m trying to evoke the aesthetics of not just the original trilogy but the first film. Not just the first film but the first act of the first film. What was it like on Tatooine? What was going on in that cantina? That has fascinated me since I was a child, and I love the idea of the darker, freakier side of Star Wars, the Mad Max aspect of Star Wars.
The series stars Pedro Pascal as the titular character.
